VISION AND MISSION STATEMENT

With the strategies and tools taught in week one, you will be able to kick off your branding with a great brand story.

If you’re unfamiliar with the term, a brand story defines and describes the things that a company cares about most. It’s used to communicate a company’s values to the public, and can also help guide major decision-making within an organisation.

Most of us know we have a product, but do not see the impact it can make in other peoples lives. Until we are willing to see our business in a different light, branding and marketing can be very hard and nerve wracking experience causing lots of overwhelm.

Brand stories wrap up a company’s vision, mission, and core values in one nice little package.

By the end of this week you are going to be able to see your business and it's products in a way you have never done before. Which will help you to refocus and shift your mindset in order to start marketing yourself and your business with confidence that your branding is aligned to your core values.

COLORS & FONTS

Now that you are confident in your business and what it represents, it is time to start choosing the colours and fonts that align to your business branding style, tone and voice.

Colours are an important part of your business because they can carry meaning, trigger memories, and evoke emotion.

Similar to colours, it’s easy to be overwhelmed by the number of options you have for fonts.

This week you are going to be guided through step by step on how to choose the right colours for your brand, and how that links back to your brand vision.

You will also learn the difference between san serif and serif fonts, as well as decorative and script fonts.

I will not just be telling you how, we are going to be doing it together, so you can ask questions when ever you need.

By the end of week 2 you will have your branding colours and typeface chosen for both web and printing.  Plus have a clear understanding of CMYK and RGB and when to choose each for your marketing material.

Your Visual Brand Style Guide is a rulebook containing specifications on everything that plays a role in the look and feel of your brand–everything from typography and colour to logos, imagery and photography.

Having a brand book ensures that your brand looks and feels the same, even when you have different people working on customer service, marketing, design and sales.  It also lets everyone know exactly how to present your brand to the world.

When completed you will have implemented everything you have created over the length of the course and produced a top quality Brand Style Guide so that your business has a consistent and recognisable brand, and you don’t send mixed messages when it comes to your branding.
